This Elysian 27 was refitted a few years ago and in 2008 was reengined with a new Vetus Diesel engine with only 125hrs running. This version has an extended toilet compartment.

Message from Becky
My Dad owned a centre cockpit Elysian 27 called Saluki III from 1977 to 1996. She was an ex hire boat bought from a marina at Earith, Cambridgeshire. We kept her there until around 1986 when we moved her to Lovey's Marina at Ely, Cambridgeshire. She was sold to a gentleman who was going to keep her on the Shannon in Ireland. As far as I'm aware, she had her original Perkins engine. I'm (unfortunately) not in a position to buy her back, but I'm curious as to her condition and whereabouts and wondered if anyone who uses the page may be able to shed any light?
I have some wonderful memories of hot summer days cruising along the Ouse, Camb, Tweed and the Old West rivers, mooring up for picnics on the bank and will never forget the very distinctive sound of that Diesel engine!
If anyone has any information, I'd love to hear from them

You may be interested in modification I made to back window of my boat.On my Elysian 27 centre cockpit, there is a bench under the back window.Because of the forward slope of the back cabin,to sit on this bench required a crouched leaning forward position to avoid hitting ones head on window. My mod. involved removing window and replacing with an extension with window built in. This unit I constructed at home from plywood base sheated by glass fibre and then bolted to cabin. This has been in place now for about six years and has made life more pleasant and no leaks of rain water. I will try to enclose a photo in Owners Gallery to show results of my labours. My boat is on river Shannon in Ireland and I have owned it fourteen years.Great boat and as I sail singlehanded,I find it very easy to operate. Frank Langton.
